The anniversary symbol for 10 years is Aluminum. The anniversary symbol for 20 years is Platinum. Well, at least they are in the same colour palette!
Global Maritimes would like to congratulate Progress/FACE TO FACE on their 10th anniversary, as we head into celebrations related to our 20th! We’ve been with you right from the beginning and we wish you continued success.
Our station, now known as Global Maritimes, was first launched on September 5, 1988.
We operate from studios in Halifax, Nova Scotia and Saint John, New Brunswick with a news bureau in Sydney, Nova Scotia as well as news and sales bureaus in Moncton and Fredericton, New Brunswick.
Recently we were recognized by the Television Bureau of Canada for a Remembrance Day feature we produced. It placed in the Top Ten across Canada. In May, our News Department was recognized with a 2008 Atlantic Journalism Award for our Continuing Coverage of the Gagetown Soldiers story, chronicling the loss of six (6) New Brunswick-based servicemen in Afghanistan.
Congratulations to all our staff for their dedication and their commitment.
And, as we say in the business, stay tuned…there’s more to come!
P.S. The new fall programming launch is only a summer away….
